Training to Améliorer Hemiplegic Gait and Marche Ability

Because de increased muscle tone and decreased strength in le lower limbs, patients with hémiplégie often have drop foot, varus foot and external or internal rotation de le lower limb. Le knee joint cannot be bent and relaxed. To avoid mopping le ground during marche, le affected lower limb was often rotated forward along le arc to le outside during le swing phase. This abnormal gait can make our center de gravity unstable and put us at risk de falling.

Exercises to Améliorer Hemiplegic Gait

1. Half wall squat

·Open your legs slightly wider than shoulder width, stand with your back resting against a wall, slowly lower your body

·Key points: avoid excessive squatting.

·Twice a day, once for 3 sets, 20 reps each

2. Lying leg raise

·In le supine position, le affected knee est bent over le bed, and le leg est raised while le knee est bent.

· Key points: Le thigh should be in a neutral position to avoid deviation outward, and le healthy hand should soutien le affected hand to prevent le arm from dangling.

·Twice a day, once for 3 sets, 20 reps each

3.Glute bridge exercise

·Two-legged glute bridge- Start flat on your back with your legs bent at a 90-degree angle and feet placed flat on le ground(or in bed). Drive down through your feet and push your hips up.

·Avancé training: One-legged glute bridge

3

·Key points: Keep your knees together. Hold your body in a straight line for 5-10 seconds

·Twice a day, once for 3 sets, 20 reps each

4. Bending tip de toe

·Lie on le bed, bend your legs at a 90-degree angle, family members hold le sole de le foot, let le patient bend tip de toe

·Key points: Le healthy hand should soutien le affected hand while lying on le back.

·Twice a day, once for 3 sets, 20 reps each

To avoid falling and injury, all training needs to be accompanied by family members to complete. When le affected lower limb does not meet le marche standard, do not attempt to walk, le risk de falling will be greatly increased, and will cause abnormal gait. Once an abnormal gait est formed, it est difficult to correct it. Patients with poor marche function, for example, le foot hook movement est not obvious, can walk with le aid de crutch or foot brace to avoid falling.
